Congratulations on taking the first step in your Chiropractic journey with Thorassic Park!

The first appointment is all about YOU! We listen to your health history, review your x-rays, and discuss a treatment plan to achieve and maximize your health goals. Once we create a treatment plan, your following visits will be much shorter. Every phase of care is specifically designed to restore and optimize the function of the body, so you will likely have more scheduled visits at the beginning of your treatment plan. Together, we will develop a care plan to get you back to feeling your best. If we are unable to provide a treatment plan that will help you and your condition, we will make a recommendation for you to see another provider.

What to expect during your first visit:

Brief Paperwork

Upon entering the office, we will have some brief paperwork for you to fill out (if you did not have the chance to fill out prior to your appointment). The paperwork provides us with a general information about yourself and your condition.

History and Examination

Once the paperwork has been completed and submitted for review, you will be brought into an exam room to discuss what brought you to Thorassic Park. In order to determine what your actual problem is, you will be asked questions related to your condition. Next, a number of specialized tests will be performed to determine which areas are affected and to what extent.

Consultation

After the exam and tests are completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to review the results of your x-rays/MRI that you had prior to your visit.  We will discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as treatment options.

Treatment

The doctor will then treat you based on the imaging findings and what he feels is needed in order to start you on a treatment plan.

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, you will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.
